Wahsega 4-H Center: Historical Information: News Archive

Amy Hester named Interim Program Coordinator

Paul Coote, who served as Program Coordinator at Wahsega from August 1999 to October 2002, has taken the Camp Manager's position at Tybee Island 4-H Center. While we hate to say good-bye to Paul, we wish him well as he takes over the leadership at Tybee.

Amy Hester was selected as Wahsega's Interim Program Coordinator and will oversee the 4-H Environmental Education program and customer service for weekend conference groups through the spring season. Amy served as an Environmental Education Instructor here at Wahsega before accepting the new job. She has a bachelors in wildlife ecology and conservation and a masters degree in fisheries and aquatic sciences both from the University of Florida.

Having Amy lead the program over the next several months ensures a smooth transition for teachers, conference group leaders and youth expecting to have a good experience at Wahsega. As you prepare for your spring season trip, call or email Amy anytime you have questions.

We look forward to seeing you in the spring.
